As an older dog, we thought that Milburn would be with us for a while. But surprisingly he was only with us for a week and a half before he went to his forever home. We decided, we couldn’t be dogless for long though, because there are just SO MANY dogs that need homes. So just a few days after Milburn left, we stopped by CARE again to pick up a new foster.
Poor girl has been at CARE since January, and not many adopters seem to have noticed her, perhaps because she’s 6. Older dogs are hard to find homes for, but are often so easy to foster! They’re usually housebroken, less energetic (and therefore less likely to chase our cats), and just the thing for our laid back household. So on July 10th, we picked up T’Challa.
T’Challa has settled in nicely, and
each day we’re getting to know her a little better. She loves car rides, is AMAZING with the cats, and walks pretty darn well on a leash. She’s a little bit needy, but otherwise we would potentially have a foster fail on our hands!
We’re confident that T’Challa will make an excellent 4 foot addition to the right new home.
